  • JERUSHA + JARED HESS

    (Directors)
    Jerusha & Jared Hess are a husband-and-wife filmmaking duo best known for their work on Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre and Gentlemen Broncos, all co-written by the pair and directed by Jared. Jerusha made her solo directorial debut in 2013 with the Sundance premiere of Austenland. The Hesses recently collaborated on the Netflix Original Animation feature Thelma the Unicorn. Jared is currently directing Jason Momoa and Jack Black in Minecraft for Warner Bros., based on the best-selling video game of all time.

  • TIM BLAKE NELSON

    (Actor, Coy)
    Tim Blake Nelson is a celebrated actor, playwright and director. His remarkable filmography spans well over 100 screen credits, including works by legendary filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen, Steven Spielberg, Ang Lee and Terrence Malick. His debut novel, City Of Blows, was published last year by Unnamed Press, with a paperback version set for early 2024.

  • CHRIS BOWMAN + HUBBEL PALMER

    (Writers)
    Chris Bowman & Hubbel Palmer, recipients of Variety’s “10 Screenwriters to Watch” award, were nominated this year for a Humanitas Prize for their script for Ninety-Five Senses. Bowman’s career as an offbeat storyteller began at age 16, when he won a nationwide video contest sponsored by Comedy Central. Palmer was named “Hubbel” by his movie-buff parents after Robert Redford’s character in The Way We Were.

    Miles David Romney is a founder of the MAST accelerator for animators and filmmakers, Managing Partner of the V42 Venture Studio Fund, and a Managing Partner of six-time Tony-winning Broadway producer 42nd.club.

  • TORI A. BAKER

    (Producer)
    Tori A. Baker is the current president and CEO of the nonprofit cinema organization Salt Lake Film Society and Vice President of The Cinema Foundation, a nonprofit for the National Association of Theater Operators. In 2023, Baker was named one of the “Top 50 Women in Global Cinema” by Celluloid Junkie.

  • JOHN HANCOCK

    (Composer)
    John Hancock is a composer, producer and songwriter working across many genres. His most widely known works are collaborations with artists Kaskade and Late Night Alumni. Hancock’s recent original scores include Netflix’s Working: What We Do All Day and Muscles & Mayhem: An Unauthorized Story of American Gladiators. He is very proud to be part of the Ninety-Five Senses team.

  • DANIEL BRUSON

    (Animator, Segment: “Coy”)
    Daniel Bruson is an animation director, screenwriter, animator and graphic artist from Brazil. His work encompasses film (fictional and documentary), music videos, visual arts and animation courses. He likes to be carried away by bold visual exploration and storytelling, especially if they smuggle in some interesting ideas.

  • DOMINICA HARRISON + SCOTT McHENRY

    (Animators, Segment: “Sight”)
    Dominica Harrison is an award-winning artist from Moscow currently based in the UK. She specializes in animation direction and illustration, with a particular emphasis on printmaking. Harrison’s work is focused on the themes of nostalgia, belonging and ritual. Nica’s work can be seen at nicaharrison.com.

    Scott McHenry collaborates with artists, illustrators and educators to bring to life playful, bespoke, hand-drawn animations. His work can be found at scottmchenry.me.

  • DALLIN PENMAN + JARED MATHEWS

    (Animators, Segment: “Smell”)

    Dallin Penman graduated from Utah Valley University in Animation and Game Development, class of 2019. Currently a concept artist for a prop fabricator. He can be reached at djpenman@gmail.com.

    Jared Mathews is an 2D animator born and raised in Utah. He has worked with notable clients such as Disney and Pencilish Studios as well as many startup companies. In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Jared is writing and developing his own films with the ambition to one day bring them to the screen and push the medium of 2D animation in exciting new ways.

    Michael Grover makes comics and animation at www.grovertoons.com. His webcomic Deeply Dave is being published as a graphic novel in 2025.

    (Animator, Segment: “Taste”)
    K.C. Tobey is an animator, illustrator and tabletop game designer in Provo, Utah. He is the creative director of the Tobeytown Animation Company.

  • GABRIELA BADILLO + ¡HOLA! COMBO

    (Animators, Segment: “Touch”)
    ¡Hola! Combo is a creative studio located in Mexico City, Mexico, co-founded and directed by Gabriela Badillo. The team is passionate about telling stories that promote social responsibility and raise awareness about the major crises of today. They believe that art and animation can be tools for meaningful communication and social change.

  • KELLY LOOSLI

    Kelly Loosli is the co-creator of the Animation Program at Brigham Young University. An independent producer, he has worked at DreamWorks Animation and Buena Vista Pictures (the former live-action division of Disney).
